Pacini continues to grow: A third restaurant to open in Alberta with Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Calgary South

After opening a restaurant in the Acclaim Hotel near Calgary International Airport, and another attached to the Moose Hotel & Suites in Banff, Pacini Restaurants President Nathalie Lehoux has more good news to share. A third Pacini restaurant will open in summer 2017, connected to the upcoming Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites South Calgary, on Blackfoot Trail South East. This will be the first Pacini Restaurant connected to a Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites. The hotel’s owners are Doug and Ken Sholter from Perfect Hospitality, and Sukhminder Rai from PHI Hotel Group.

This 200-seat restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and offer a lounge for large groups, plus create 80 jobs. Doug Sholter, Director of Development for Perfect Hospitality, said, “We are excited to be partnering with Pacini to implement a unique and vibrant food and beverage offering within our hotel. The Pacini brand will be instrumental in helping us to not only provide a restaurant that our guests will love but a strong catering division for our conference facilities.”

The new restaurant and hotel will open in summer 2017. “Pacini is a Quebec franchisor, and we are proud to export our Italian concept to Alberta for a third time. Six years ago we were totally unknown in this part of the country. The people of Calgary were the first to welcome us outside of Quebec. It’s thanks to their extraordinary enthusiasm that our breakthrough in Western Canada can continue!” says Ms. Lehoux.

The opening of another Pacini outside Quebec is also scheduled for summer 2017 in Mississauga, a suburb of Toronto. “We are always looking for potential franchisees across Canada, from Moncton to Ottawa to Fort McMurray,” says Lafleche Francoeur, Vice-President of Business Development at Pacini. In addition to these openings, restaurants in Trois-Rivières and Laval have undergone major renovations, the Brossard restaurant was made bigger in November, and the Pacini in Gatineau will be expanded in the spring of 2017. The restaurant in Rimouski is currently undergoing a major transformation, including a new hotel partner, Hôtel Le Navigateur, and a change of address. The Lemay-Michaud architecture-design firm is in charge of all these projects.

Pacini currently employs close to 1,300 people in Canada. The company is constantly looking to innovate to offer its guests an exceptional, authentically Italian experience. Pacini is also distinguished by its efforts to promote healthy eating. It is the first restaurant chain to have abolished all artificial trans fats from its menus, the first to have reduced salt content by 24%, and developed a variety of gluten-free menu choices. All Pacini restaurants are also equipped with an EpiPen®. Have a look at our new website www.pacini.com for more information.

Pacini, love the food, love the people.
