Origin and Production Method
Amarone della Valpolicella is produced in the Valpolicella hills, north of Verona. It is made from traditional grape varieties—Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara—which give it incomparable structure and intensity. Its production relies on the “appassimento” method, an ancestral technique in which grapes are dried on racks for several months to concentrate sugars and aromas before fermentation.
This unique process gives Amarone exceptional aromatic depth, revealing notes of dried black fruits, spices, and dark chocolate. Extended aging in oak barrels adds a velvety texture and impressive length on the palate. Its DOCG designation (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) guarantees uncompromising quality and reflects the excellence of this great Italian red wine.
